Treehouse 3 winding down

Only a half day of work was put in on the Tree house today. Jamie finished the pier (see below), Chaz and Bernard put extra secure railings up to the first deck and Nick and I added more cedar branches to create a more effective "nest" look for the top deck.

Steve had to return to his day job today.
Chaz and Nick are on their way flying east as I type this.
Bernard drives back to Chicago tomorrow.
Lorna arrived back home today after visiting her Mom and sister in Shreveport.
I'm going to need a day to recover...

But it is a GREAT treehouse!

Sunday Overview

So much happened on Sunday that we got behind on blogging. Even our most serious blogger, Steve Mays got lost in the construction project. But now, before we head out for the 4th day, here are a few pictures of the activity on Sunday.

After-lunch round-up

Back at the site after a hearty lunch, Nick is assembling nesting material, Jamie is working on the structure of the pier that will go out into the swamp, Steve is chiseling the stairs that we will soon install on the first floor, and Bernard continues his work on the top level.
